The Thunderbird Café & Music Hall on Butler Street is one of my favorite places to see a show in Pittsburgh. You walk into a pretty unassuming little bar up front then head through to the back and the room opens up to a music hall three stories high, with balconies looking down over the stage and a bar in the back.

I'm a musician and a music lover, so music venues always mean a lot to me, and I'm so happy to add this one to my collection. The first time I went was to see a friend of a friend, Spaceman Bob, play a set out from Phoenix, and my friend Laney Jones has played there twice.

An original ink drawing of the Thunderbird Café & Music Hall in Pittsburgh's Lawrenceville neighborhood, printed, unframed. Packaged in plastic sleeve with backing.
